The ocean is never calm. Even if the furious storm subsides, deep currents are still tireless and inexhaustible, though you can’t see them with your eyes. In front of this power, everything seems insignificant: alonkeys blessed by the Lottery of the Sea, ordinary people, and cunning adepts of the Order of Mechanics… and those gifted from the Unprecedented Island.
The ocean is fate. By this fate, together are bound: the boy-fishers of Tarycesa and the proud rulers of Kamolle; fearless travelers from the Circle of the Albatross and detached priests from the Smoke… And while the Coordinator from the Order of Mechanics tries to destroy the alonkeys’ power in the ocean, and Třevo—cast out to disgrace from the Circle of Mercury—proves to himself and the world that he’s still worth something, on the floating island near the very Boundary of Hell, the gifted Korvo, nicknamed the Black Bird, hunts a mysterious killer.
And none suspects that each of them is a piece of that enormous wave which will soon forever change the face of the world.
