For over a year, Earth has been recovering after the alien invasion. Major Anna Lazareva and Major Konstantin Bagirov continue to serve in the planet’s armed forces and build their personal lives.

The planet’s military-space fleet is growing stronger despite harsh postwar conditions. The first launch of a space combat vessel is planned, and on this momentous occasion Anna and Kostya arrive at the spaceport to take part in the event.

A dangerous surprise for everyone is the appearance of a patrol of Lan-irmians—pursuing an even more unexpected target: the Herespri fighter, desperately trying to get to Earth. Anna and Kostya can’t stand aside and want to find out the purpose of this lone pilot. But they don’t even imagine what story the herespri ship’s pilot will tell them…
