With the novella «Waves Suppress the Wind», the authors brought to an end the cycle about the World of Noon that they had been creating for a quarter of a century. Readers’ expectations were high, and as always in such cases, the last book of someone left at least one person disappointed—because of its brevity, its experimental nature, its traditionally understated form.
