The main hero of “Wolf’s Grip” is a hereditary warrior-arax of the secret regiment of Sergius of Radonezh, who keeps the fighting spirit of Rus’. He can not only stand his ground in hand-to-hand combat against a powerful enemy, but also survive in winter forest, chopping out a small winter shelter for himself using only an axe within three days.

In the second book, the events unfold like this: According to the ancient laws of the Araxs’ military order, Razhny—who in civilian life used to be a special forces soldier and is now the owner of a hunting base—must face punishment for an incorrectly conducted duel, in which he spared his opponent and, supposedly, lost the Yaroе Heart. Razhny leaves the base and settles in a remote forest, where he meets his love—a girl he has to fight for. Meanwhile, the mysterious Veshersky forests, where people disappear, continue to draw the attention of special services…
