Within just a few summer days, an unknown deadly virus wiped out all of Stockholm, all of Sweden—and, it seems, the entire world. Only dozens of people remain alive. Among them is the tough and independent Amanda, who at the same time can’t seem to grow up. Iris, who is ready to do anything—even with a broken arm—to protect her daughter Sigrid from the chaos that reigns in the new virus-stricken world. Dano, a twelve-year-old refugee whose family managed to escape the war but didn’t survive the epidemic.

Soon their paths will cross, and with horror they will realize that in the world there is something even more terrifying than the virus—and it is a dying civilization. Perhaps a new world will come to replace it, but there may not be room for those who survive in it…
