The Height of Cynicism

In the higher worlds, two of the largest corporations have clashed over power over us. It seems there’s something on this planet that they’re willing to sacrifice everything for. I’ll never believe that the higher powers would start fighting over some scrap. And as always, we ended up right at the center of events. At least life became much easier. At any rate, now you can spoil yourself with delicacies instead of gulping down the same muddy gruel. Only from that it doesn’t get easier for us. I feel it in my gut: soon we’ll learn the dirty secrets of this world. In the dirt, we’re really good at digging—better than many others.
