16+ "Witch of War", a novel by Alexander Prozorov and Andrey Posnyakov, 2015.
In the world of the magic sun on the Yamal peninsula—a place inhabited by dinosaurs and sorcerers—Cossacks hunt for golden idols of local savages. In their capture falls a young girl Mitayuki, who received a sorcerous upbringing.
As an unwilling captive, the witch doesn’t give up and, step by step, teaches the Cossacks, intending to use her captors as a weapon for power in the sorcerous world. On the witch’s side are cunning, knowledge of the Russian language, and the ability to cast spells. And also her conviction that men are simply a tool given to women by the gods for their needs.
Only one thing is required—to use the tool given from above the right way.
