Barbarians

As a result of a brief malfunction in the ship’s onboard systems, the spacecraft “Soyuz TM-M-4” makes a landing… in the 3rd century. From the first minute, the cosmonauts Gennady Cherepanov and Alexey Korshunov find themselves at the center of the events of the past—stormy and merciless. Scythians, barbarians, savages… People considered them fierce and greedy. But they called themselves the Glorious, and above all else they valued luckiness in their leaders.

In one of the battles, Cherepanov is captured, and Korshunov is left alone with a hostile alien world. Mind and courage, cool-headedness and luck help him earn the respect of the barbarians and become their leader. What were they really—the future conquerors of Rome? Who were they—predecessors, and perhaps ancestors, of the Slavs?
