The novel “Vampires” was written in 1912, after the famous Russian translation of Bram Stoker’s “Dracula” was published, and it offers a prehistory of the events that unfold in that work. Together with his friends, he manages to find a number of astonishing pieces of evidence, and the acquisition of each of them is accompanied by a chain of surprising and tragic events.
