Please raise your hands if you have a Cat or a Kitty. Oh, how many of us there are! I knew it! Now raise your hands if you love talking to your furry friend. Oh, even more! So it turns out—no cat, but you still feel like talking to someone. A familiar situation. And what’s the Cat? The ideal conversationalist. He won’t interrupt you. He won’t tell you that you’re wrong and that you messed up his best years of life. He won’t ask you to take him to his mother or to the dacha. He won’t teach you how to cook, drive a car, or earn money. He won’t ask why you were late at work or whose message is on your phone. You can talk to a Cat when you’re lonely but too lazy to meet friends. You can hug him and cry. In short, the Cat is an excellent friend, a psychotherapist, a conversation partner, and sometimes even a drinking buddy. And this is my humorous collection of stories for those who already have this furry happiness, who really want to get one, but haven’t dared yet—and for those who have never thought about it, but then suddenly do start to.
