The Tamer. The Beast Hunter from the South

Twenty years of working with predators taught me— they do not forgive fussiness. I died in the fire, tearing a tiger out of a jammed cage with my bare hands. And then I woke up on the social underbelly of a foreign world, in the body of a Beastmaster named Rick.

My new home is the Pit—a dirty kennel for magical monsters. The local pseudo-trainers only maim the creatures with whips, turning them into dull scrap.

Where they see a mad demon from the Schism, I see an astonishing creature that needs to be brought under control. I’ll show the local “elite” what real experience as a tamer looks like. And to start with, I’ll just monetize their trash, win myself freedom, and seize power in the “Pit.”
