For several years, Mikhail Garin, a computer engineer from the 21st century, has been living in the 1970s. He writes computer programs, makes discoveries, and sends “snitch letters” to the Politburo in literal sacks. He hides from special services of several countries… But finally the minimum plan is completed: the USSR confidently sets off on a new course. Changes in the state’s foreign and domestic policy shift the course of history. The country’s collapse stops looming on the horizon. And for Misha, it’s time to think about his own future, analyze his mistakes and achievements, and draw up a new plan—now a maximum one—leading the Soviet Union to the peaks of progress, to building a truly real communist society. The only question is: will Garin’s knowledge be enough? Or should he involve his contemporaries in “building the dream” too?
