Every day, in every country, in every city, people disappear. They vanish in the dark.
No one, not even the police, knows why, doesn’t understand how it happens. And soon almost everyone will forget about the missing. Everyone, but not Mila Vazquez. Seven years have passed since the events described in “The Hint/Guidebook,” but the dark still won’t let Mila go—it leaves traces on her skin, perhaps because the roots of evil reach into her soul. Remembering the missing is her job. These people look at her from the walls of the Hall of Lost Steps.
