After battles on the Eastern Front, Count Royho returns to his lands. He restores his strength and enjoys the long-awaited peace. But it doesn’t last long. At the command of his teacher Illyr Anho, a demigod and a faithful paladin of the goddess Kama-Nio, the count goes to Grasse-Anho, the capital of the Osvter Empire. The emperor receives him, and Royho becomes an advisor to the ruler. It’s unexpected, but Royho is a warrior and ready for anything. And again the count is thrown into the thick of events: he forms noble units, fights enemies, traitors, and vampires—and becomes not just the emperor’s servant, but his Shadow.
