Timur has a complicated financial situation, and he needs to take care not only of himself, but also of his sister, who is confined to a wheelchair. Work as a tester in a new full-immersion virtual game called “Endless World” seems like the way out. But there are many applicants, so the casting is extremely strict—and players must role-play unpopular classes to demonstrate their advantages to users. Timur gets a small, weak goblin-herbalist. Will he manage to not get kicked out of the job and succeed within tight deadlines with such a dubious character? Meanwhile, the game throws surprises: due to a software bug, Timur’s character has hidden abilities that may be a benefit—or a big problem for the player; and some NPCs behave in the game like real people. On top of that, Timur manages to obtain an artifact that is the subject of a real hunt, and inside the corporation itself, there are backroom games going on—so you need cleverness to avoid ending up between a hammer and an anvil. The plot shifts between the real world and the game, and everywhere the hero is met with dizzying adventures and dangers.
