Tarzan is a fictional character created by writer Edgar Rice Burroughs, first appearing in the book “Tarzan, the Ape-Man.” The novel was first published in 1912 in a magazine, and in 1914 it was released as a separate book. Tarzan is called the most recognizable literary character in the world. In addition to the vast number of books written by Burroughs himself and other authors, the character also appeared in many films, television programs, on the radio, and in comic books.
