Tanya Grotter, the Grobnyya, Vanka Vyaljalkin, Gunya Glomov, Yagun and Shurasik end up in a parallel world. The forests of this eerie world are populated by undead, and the mountains and dungeons are inhabited by spirits. Four elements rule there—fire, water, air, and earth—which all the magicians in this world obey. No one can use magic of an element other than the one that gives them strength. Once, the Stikhiary was brought here by magic—by Feofil Grotter. An ancestor of Tanya once used the Stikhiary’s help, but having considered the price set for it to be excessive, he broke the contract and, without paying, cunningly transferred the Stikhiary to a parallel world. In order to leave it and return to its own dimension, the Stikhiary must be fed the runes from its cup with the blood of Feofil Grotter, which now runs only in the veins of Tanya Grotter…
