During the Civil War in the United States, five daredevil Northerners escape captivity on a hot air balloon. A terrible storm throws them onto the shore of an uninhabited island. The courage and talents of the new settlers help them set up their life without needing food, clothing, or even warmth and comfort. Their peaceful life of “Robinsons” on the island is disturbed by the threat of pirate attacks—but some mysterious force helps them in the hardest situations.
