Detectives. Confession of the Ripper

Victorian London. A certain Dr. Bertrand Mort drowns in the Thames with a mangled hand and a bullet wound in his chest. He, in fact, isn’t against settling accounts with life. But then he sees a girl throwing into the water a parcel with a crying baby.
Forgetting everything else, Bert saves the child and finds her mother—a poor young seamstress named Mary, whom the landlord had driven out onto the street the day before. The three of them settle in the docks of Lambeth. And all would have been fine—if not for Bert’s terrible secret and the small silver object shaped like a jellyfish that turns Mort into a devil.
