A Step of Evolution

The corporate wars of the 22nd century redrew the map of the world. States became the raw-material appendages of corporations; rulers lost power; radioactive fallout falls from the sky. Gleb Severin is a crippled operative from the RosTech corporation, now retired, who got a second chance thanks to cybernetic implants. His task is to untangle the tangle of events in the small town of Kamenka, where unknown attackers struck the corporation’s branch. The order is simple—find and destroy. But it turned out to be impossible to carry it out.
