My life changed on my nineteenth birthday: the gods granted me magic, and my father cut off my allowance, my car, and sent me to study at the Academy of Power. A so-so present, don’t you think? Terrible place: instead of designer dresses I have to wear an old cloak, a running yard is my new best friend, and to earn money I need to get involved in dubious competitions.
