Irina Filatova, one of the leading staff members of the Research Institute of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, is found dead at her home. At first glance the death appears to have been an accident — an electric shock. However, analyst Anastasia Kamenskaya concludes it was a cold-blooded, deliberate murder.
It’s interesting to eat the dinner prepared by the killer. That’s exactly what Nastya Kamenskaya does—indeed, in the company of the killer himself. Such is the chain of circumstances: she has identified the killer and his accomplices, but to obtain irrefutable evidence she must «turn the screw» on the calculating, cold-blooded professional according to the full program. And so she tries, perfectly aware that any careless word or movement could cost her her life. Outside it’s late evening, and until morning there is still an eternity...
