The plot is based on the assumption that alongside our world there is another world where time has stopped and, therefore, death does not exist. Young heroes Egor and Lyusya get there in the same fairy-tale way as all the other inhabitants—by refusing to move into the new year along with everyone else living on our Earth. They experience incredible adventures in the empire of the Kievsky Station and manage to get back by a miracle, using a secret passage between the worlds.
