Two years have passed since Oleg Gariyn and Mikhail Stolyarov returned from the Zone. Stolyarov continues serving in the SBU, Gariyn got married and went into business. But in the world again, unexplained events begin to happen: people disappear, airplanes and trains crash.

In one such accident, Oleg Gariyn’s wife dies—and he can no longer look away from these occurrences. Colonel Lieutenant Stolyarov contacts Gariyn and confirms his suspicions: the chain of catastrophes isn’t a coincidence, but signs of psionic weapon interference. Gariyn is driven by a thirst for revenge, while Stolyarov is guided by an officer’s duty—and both know where the developers of psionic weapons must be found. That’s how they return to the Zone.
