Cormac McCarthy is a well-known American writer awarded the MacArthur Fellowship “for Genius.” His works such as “No Country for Old Men,” “The Road,” and “Blood Meridian” have been recognized both as books and as film adaptations. The novel “S a dom and Gomorrah: Cities Around That S e y” is the third book in “The Border Trilogy,” where the fates of the main characters from the previous books intertwine. John Grady wants to save the prostitute Magdalena from Mexico, while his friend Billy agrees to help.
