The heroine of Laurel Hamilton’s novel series is Anita Blake—professional animator (one who raises zombies), a necromancer, and a licensed vampire hunter. She appears in every book in the series, and most of the events are presented from her point of view.
Her world is very similar to ours: the same continents, countries, cities, and streets. But here everyone who wants it can get a shot against lycanthropy, vampires fight in Congress for civil rights, and monsters from children’s fairy tales are real. And Sergeant Dolph Storr has to figure out what kind of creature is breaking into people’s homes and tearing them apart. Anita must deal with all these cases… and not be late for the wedding of her best friend.
