Eufimia Martins is again right in the thick of events! Now that the girl has become the companion of her former enemy, Richenda Stapleford, she must accompany her everywhere. Richenda, however, is taken with new marriage prospects, so she gladly accepts an invitation to stay with a wealthy widower, Hans Müller. A magnificent estate, lovely gardens, plenty of servants… and, of course, a murder. Could it be that Hans Müller is not at all the charming man he seems to be?
