Have you ever wondered what it would be like if you had the gift of prophecy?

Eric Bartnovsky—definitely not. He’s an ordinary fifteen-year-old who accidentally ended up in a supermarket at the very moment armed robbers burst in—and somehow avoided being shot.

Or maybe not quite “somehow.” His saviors are teenagers who look exactly like their peers, but for some reason call themselves Ghosts. And when the boy follows their trail, he brings trouble upon himself. An organization called the Hierarchy wants to get hold of gifted children and use them to change the future for its own benefit.

And Eric himself is one of the ones being hunted.
