Tales of Yokai

Almost a year has passed since Kyoko Hakuro became the pupil of the Great Wayfarer. Their studies continue, but the road leads them to threats far more dreadful than mononoke.

While visitors in Kyoto’s entertainment district pay with their own lives for love in one of the houses, in a distant village of yokai a new deity’s ascension is brewing. Kyoko and the Wayfarer must put restless souls to rest—and, at the same time, track down a mysterious young man in a black fox mask. Not only does the stranger pass himself off as the Wayfarer, but he also steals something important from him…

A new hero will join Kyoko and the Wayfarer—the charming rogue Soya, who knows not only how to win hearts, but also how to steal them.

The heroes will have to deal with mononoke in Kyoto’s pleasure quarter, visit the yokai in a closed village where any wedding turns into disaster, and witness the awakening of something ancient—bloody, and truly ominous.
