The Alchemist's Power

The fallen gods, expelled from the ether, gather scraps of power among people, placing both their supporters and those being driven to them like herds of sheep onto sacrificial altars—by mercenaries. The fallen can take any form, and even the power of an alchemist that allows Eri to sense the transformation of matter cannot help him recognize who is near: an enemy or a friend, once a fearsome god or a cunning goddess. Perhaps, by finding the Book of Judgments, he can save this world from devastation. Or will the sword of Shahod, who recognizes him, help cleanse it of the Fallen?
