The novel «Siberia» is dedicated to the events that engulfed the region in 1914–1917. Through the destinies of its heroes—hunters and students, workers and scientists—the author convincingly and vividly shows how, despite differences in education, faith, and political beliefs, the main concern for people remained their anxiety for the future of Siberia, for preserving and multiplying its nature and wealth.
In 1976, the novel «Siberia» was awarded the Lenin Prize, and later a film of the same title was made based on it.
