“Schmagia”… Those readers whose book title might bring associations with “mocking” and parodies should, to a large extent, be disappointed by the authors. Of course, there’s always room for a smile in life, but for the people of the Retti kingdom and neighboring realms, “schmagia”—also known as the “false mana syndrome,” also known as the “break”—is a congenital, serious, incurable disease, and by many consequences it’s absolutely not funny.
