The Northern Duchy

Vera Andreevna Chirkova (1948–2023) was a Russian writer known for her adventure novels in the romantic fantasy genre. We present in audio format the final book of her fantastic trilogy “Northern Duchy.” The novel received the same title; the previous books were called “Northern Pass” and “Northern Valley.”

Laird Darvel married a healer from the Northern Pass, and now she is Duchess Enilda. But too many people were against Darvel’s ascent to the throne, and now they’re setting up schemes against his family. The enemies attack unexpectedly, and even if they retreat, they only do so to choose the time for a new blow. And quite often, those who are considered close in fact wear a mask. But beside the wise Ilda—how her friends call the duchess—Darvel must handle any difficulties.
