The Heart of Arachna

The project “Outflow” was meant to create dozens of colonies on planets that, at least in theory, were suitable for life. But it was never possible to learn how this risky experiment ended: a war began on Earth, and contact with the colonists’ ships was lost. When the war was over, the colonies were already silent—too far away to reach.

A hundred years later, it becomes possible thanks to the formation of a special space fleet corps. It includes soldiers with special abilities, strong and hardy enough to follow the traces of the lost colonial ships and learn what fate befell the people of Earth. Among the teams that joined “Outflow” is the crew of the ship “Northern Crown.” On this mission, young telepath Alda Mazarine joins them—freshly graduated from the academy and receiving her first license to kill.
