Making a Choice

How to tell briefly what happened? I was born, I studied, I worked, I didn’t bother anyone. Completely unexpectedly I found myself in another world, where our fairy tales and legends came alive… and nightmares. Now, putting facts side by side and generously seasoning them with that notorious “female intuition,” I understand that leaving Earth was definitely helped by someone. And I’m burning with desire to find this kind person and have a heart-to-heart talk.
Right now, trying not to advertise to the Council of Thirteen my interest in my homeland, I cautiously try to find a way home.
In fact, that longing is exactly what caused me to leave relatively safe Larelle and go to Eden—for a strange and intrigue-filled world of the Demiurges. Oh, yes—I forgot to add: I’m now engaged. Technically it will be a pretend marriage, but shh… nobody must know!
Thank you, I already understand myself that it’s written into my fate to get into every passing trouble…
