The Garden of the Gods

“The Garden of the Gods” is the autobiographical tale by the English writer and animal enthusiast Gerald Durrell, published in 1978 and the final part of the “Greek” trilogy. Just like the previous books, “The Garden of the Gods” tells about the author’s childhood spent on the Greek island of Corfu. The main characters of the tale are young Gerald and members of his family—friends of the Durrells such as Dr. Theodore Stephanides and Spiro. In addition, some other characters appear here that are absent from the earlier parts of the trilogy.
