The Swarm

At the Lagrange point between Earth and the Sun, a gravitational anomaly has been registered. To understand what it is—and if possible, get hold of it—Russia sends the cosmonaut Vladislav Roeyov, because automatic stations weren’t able to conduct reconnaissance. At the moment the spacecraft “Molniya,” on which Roeyov was flying, entered the area of the gravitational anomaly, it triggered and captured the craft into its zone of action. All attempts by the cosmonaut to break free from the gravitational capture were unsuccessful. Only a few moments before losing consciousness, Vladislav realized that the anomaly wasn’t a natural phenomenon, but the work of an extraterrestrial civilization. When Roeyov regained consciousness, he was no longer in the Solar System…
