The Reservation

The main events take place in the Sphere of Stability—a gigantic megacity surrounded by an impenetrable protective field, built by people at the end of the 21st century in anticipation of the oncoming chaos. Created to save Earth’s civilization, the Sphere of Stability became a kind of miniature model of society, where all its conflicts, contradictions, and vices are dramatically intensified because of the limited space for life. What’s more, here the dominant type of social organization is one where the individual is totally suppressed.

The main hero, a resident of the Sphere of Stability, not of the first generation, by nature is endowed with unique analytical abilities. Trying to find his place in society, he becomes drawn into a conflict between factions fighting for power.

From a person stripped of any beliefs or principles—whose main goal is to live through the present day and, if possible, secure tomorrow for himself—he gradually transforms into a strong, self-assured personality who knows his worth…
