A continuation of the adventures of a Moscow auditor who was transported from our time to 1971. Pavel Ivlev, having been assigned new positions at two major institutions—the CPC under the Central Committee of the CPSU and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs—starts with pleasure on an important and responsible job. Meanwhile, in the Politburo they are considering his important initiative, submitted as if it were his own by Andropov, and in a narrower circle there is still plenty for him to propose from other ideas of Ivlev.
