Stories of Major Pronin: Stories about the Major

Audio studio “Ardis” presents several works by the Soviet writer Lev Ovalov about Major Pronin, who later became the hero of jokes and cartoons—a simple, but very not-simple policeman who stands up against enemies of the Motherland and foreign spies.

The first audio book includes two collections of stories and the novella “The Blue Angel.” After that, listeners will get to know two more novels in which the main character is Pronin.

In the 1990s, all these works were published in a single volume. The unfinished preface to it, which the author began with, said: “Before the war there were three great detectives in the world—Father Brown, Sherlock Holmes, and Major Pronin…”
