Path of a Fighter Pilot

An ordinary high school graduate falls into a swamp, but emerges from it on June 20, 1941—one day before the start of the Great Patriotic War. The son of a pilot, he himself takes the controls to get involved in the course of the air war with the brand-new La-5 and change the familiar script of aerial combat.

Yesterday’s schoolboy suddenly finds himself at the threshold of catastrophe—right at the very end of peaceful June 1941. He knows aviation firsthand and intends to play his part in the coming battles. But first and foremost, he needs to survive and not die in the first, most terrible days.

And soon new La-5 will take to the sky, along with them the pilots who have been trained using modern methods at the Combat Training Centre of the Air Force flight personnel. They are about to enter the fight.
