The end of the twenty-first century. Despite the raging Cold War between rival powers, humankind is carrying out a space expansion. Private and state corporations are actively developing the Moon and Mars, and mining operations are underway on asteroids. However, the outer Solar System remains Terra Incognita for people. No crewed ship has yet left the asteroid belt. Not until today. The Prometheus-1 expedition launches toward Titan, the mysterious icy moon of Saturn. But not everything goes as smoothly as the team would like. Venturing into space for three long years, the heroes leave behind a world on the brink of a global war, and on the day they finally reach their goal, the cup of conflict overflows—Earth’s powers trade devastating blows, erasing one another into dust. Small human enclaves remaining on the Moon and among the asteroids desperately try to survive, just as does the ship’s tiny international crew, lost deep in space.
