Eric Bergman’s adventures continue. The Great System granted him a Gift, and a zero-level kid became a mage. After getting out of the dungeons, Eric decides to go to Орхус to break the vow of duty and become free. The young mage’s path runs through lands where mercenaries of Baron Korvin rage. As far as he can, Eric rescues the unfortunate who have ended up in the clutches of inhuman beings—but very soon, help will be needed by the mage himself…

He ends up enslaved by a certain Master Чи. That one controls Eric with mental magic and fully subjects him to his will, pulling all the important information out of the boy.

Soon Master Чи makes an astonishing conclusion: Eric is a bearer of ancient blood. That’s why the Great System tried to kill him at birth—though the Bug intervened.
