Phoenix's Leap

A global war has begun between people and the Alliance, which includes most of the races. People are forced to retreat—new technologies are needed to win. The “filibusters” unit is sent to meet an artifact hunter in the Anomalous Zones, but because of betrayal by their allies, the people end up in another world—the Phoenix Branch—inhabited by descendants of the “Phoenix” ship that disappeared during the Exodus. Instead of helping them return home, they want to eliminate them as a possible threat.

As a result of the struggle for survival, the remaining “filibusters,” now natural pirates, still manage to return home on a captured warship. It has absorbed artifacts of an ancient people and the newest technological developments of the people from the Phoenix Branch.
