Mia Thermopolis turns fifteen, and her birthday promises to be perfect: the whole family at the table, Michael beside her, and ahead—their graduation evening. But one awkward incident in a restaurant turns the celebration into chaos and sets off a chain of events that leads to a mass strike—many New York cafés and hotels close. Now not only graduation, but Mia’s entire familiar world is at risk.
