The return of the Phantoms from Nevirон is accompanied by a whole heap of important information obtained in the enemy’s camp, unexpected events, and many hopes—most of which, unfortunately, are not destined to come true.
But Gaïda has no time to wait out the pain of losses in calm quiet—events tighten so much that, without thinking too long, she chooses the simplest and fastest way to get rid of the тоска (yearning/sadness). Only in the end nobody knows what this will lead to.
“Returning to the Plain, the Phantoms begin preparing for war with Nevirон. And along with them, two other major states begin preparing too—each interested in Ishte in its own way. Gaïda will have to make another move, and again she’ll have to choose between what is important and what is necessary. But the price of this choice turns out to be much higher than she first thought.”
