The afterword is told from the perspective of a friend of Chait—a crocodile-like turtle (or, vice versa, a turtle-like crocodile) Archenbach.

Chait is tasked within a two-week period to build a structure for a diplomatic representation of the Galactic League on Emersleike. The architectural plan for the future building was left to Chait’s discretion. No matter what the Emersleike builders were shown by contractors from the Administration of the Senate of the Galactic League, the Emersleik-ers each time calmly but persistently said “no,” and it was unclear what exactly they didn’t like. On the fourth day of his stay on Emersleike, Chait presented his design for the embassy building, and it was immediately approved. Everything would be fine, but after the embassy was built, Chait turned out not to be in profit—he was a complete bankrupt! Who, if not Chait, could never remain bankrupt? He finds an amazing solution to the problem—one beneficial not only for himself, but also for the Emersleik-ers.
