A poor, tattered man—shot by a sniper right at the doors of the headquarters of the special unit “Sigma”—manages to hand Commander Gray Pearson an ancient Greek coin bearing the image of the Delphic oracle’s temple. The dead man is identified: Archibald Polke, who belonged to a community of elite scientists known as the “Jasons.”
Recently, a splinter group of the “Jasons” has been conducting secret experiments on autistic children, enhancing the extraordinary abilities they already display. But the small subjects develop a strange side effect, and its uncontrolled growth threatens terrible consequences for all of humanity. Apparently, Archibald Polke was trying to warn “Sigma” about this. But what does the ancient Greek oracle have to do with it?
To understand, Gray Pearson and his team must solve a mystery shrouded in centuries.
