In the kingdom of Arodan, people are divided into the named and those who have no names. Everything around is governed by the Two-Faced goddess, who sends the named people caskets with gifts. Each casket is different, and what’s inside can turn out to be either a great blessing or a terrible misfortune. Only the chosen—called “invaluable”—can open such caskets.

Lika is one of the invaluable, but in her gift there is a serious flaw: she doesn’t open the caskets right away, and she can’t open her own. One day, Lika is summoned to the palace to open the casket of the haughty prince Sevir. It is empty, and the prince accuses the heroine of stealing the gift. Sevir cannot prove his accusation, and as a result of his revenge, Lika is thrown into a real hell in the city-prison among the desert. Meanwhile, more and more sages ask: is there still a Two-Faced goddess in this world? Empty caskets are multiplying; irreversible changes are happening in the kingdom; cities are attacked by creatures never seen before. In addition, someone who calls himself the Master appears, and he is assembling an army capable of destroying Arodan.

Perhaps the only ones who can save the kingdom will be Lika and Sevir—the one who caused her so much evil.
