I served as an officer in the Airborne Troops, and in the twilight of my life I simply wanted to work as a ranger. But during a rescue operation I died—and then woke up in… the USSR. On that very day when I once left for the army. In that very year when I lost my younger brother.
It’s October 1980 on the calendar. Soviet troops are already fighting in Afghanistan.
I’m young again, full of strength—and, most importantly, my brother is still alive. But if I want to keep him safe, I’ll have to choose a different path: to become a border guard on the Afghan border.
